Requirements5+ years of experience in backend development

Strong commercial experience with TypeScript and Node.js (key requirement)

Experience designing and developing scalable backend services and microservices

• Fluent German (C1/C2) – mandatory, with the ability to communicate confidently with business stakeholders and clients
• Experience working directly with clients, including requirements gathering, solution discussions, and ongoing collaboration
• Experience with AWS services and cloud-based environments
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL and database design for scalable, high-performance systems
• Good understanding of Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience designing and developing REST and/or gRPC AP
• IsAbility to work independently, take ownership, and drive solutions from concept to delivery
• Strong communication and problem-solving skillsVery good command of English

Familiarity with NestJS framework

The platform supports stakeholders involved in energy transformation by providing data-driven insights and decision-making tools. It addresses key challenges such as CO₂ balancing, renewable energy expansion, power grid planning, and municipal heating strategies.

Built on a modular and scalable architecture, the solution enables complex analytics and supports real-time insights in a rapidly evolving energy sector.

Main responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using TypeScript/Node.js as the primary technology stack
• Contribute to the development of microservices built with Golang and Python
• Collaborate directly with German-speaking clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and propose technical solutions
• Build and optimize PostgreSQL data models and queries
• Develop and maintain APIs using gRPC and REST
• Containerize applications with Docker and manage deployments on Kubernetes (AWS)

Contribute to architecture decisions for distributed systems

• Ensure system scalability, performance, and reliability
• Collaborate with frontend (Angular) and backend (NestJS) teams
• Work independently from concept to production delivery
• Participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
