We invite you to join our team at our headquarters in Hamburg’s HafenCity (40 hours/week):

Your main responsibilities

  • Performing structural analysis of steel structures including ultimate strength as well as fatigue
  • Finite element calculations of 2D plated structures and 3D volume models
  • Design of steel structures such as grillages and cradles for heavy cargo transports
  • Design of sea fastening concepts in line with class and customer requirements
  • Issue calculation reports fit for approval

Your qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Naval Architecture or equivalent
  • A finished apprenticeship in a metal working profession is an advantage
  • Proficient in 3D design of steel structures and FE calculations (for example Inventor, RFEM and Ansys Mechanical)
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) is required
  • Good communicative skills and team spirit
  • 2-5 years working experience preferable in the maritime/heavy lift industry
  • Experience with DNV-ST-N001 preferred
  • Drivers license B
