We are seeking a Senior NetApp Storage Engineer to support a strategic storage platform replacement initiative. The role will focus on the deployment and integration of the new solution, data migration activities, technical documentation, and ensuring a secure, resilient, and operationally efficient storage environment. The successful candidate will provide hands-on technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle and support teams managing unstructured data discovery, cleanup, and migration efforts. Responsibilities
- Support the deployment and configuration of the new storage platform
- Assist with solution design and technical documentation
- Plan and execute file storage migration activities
- Provide technical guidance during data inventory and cleanup initiatives
- Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues throughout the project lifecycle
- Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and security teams to ensure successful delivery of the solution Must-have knowledge and experience
- Senior experience in managing NetApp file storage solution (5+ years)
- Profieciency in NetApp file storage (CIFS and NFS) in MetroCluster setup
- Basic AD knowledge
- Distributed File System (DFS)
- Understanding File Shares' Security / access rights, protection against cyber threats etc..
- Preferably experience with OPSWAT
- Understanding backup of File Shares through NetBackup DNAS protocol
- Understanding of IT Infrastructure/Solution Architecture
- Understanding of DataCenter networking
- Experience in Disaster Recovery Scenarious
- Experience in migration file storage
- Good to have experience with DataDobi StorageMAP
- Proficient experience in MS Office 365Expected tasks:
- Technical support for storage solution replacement, including:
- Supporting solution installation/configuration
- Support in documenting design
- Data migration to the new platform
- Technical support to people handling unstructured data inventory and cleanups
