Your responsibilities Lead the customs governance function in Poland and implement the Customs strategy in line with company policies and procedures Oversee customs compliance and ensure ongoing adherence to local customs regulations, company procedures and internal controls Provide internal customs advice and maintain customs and excise procedures, compliance controls and the indirect tax manual Manage customs and excise authorisations, including AEO, customs warehousing, inward processing relief and other relevant authorisations Coordinate customs audits and act as the primary contact for local customs authorities; represent the company on customs matters before national authorities Manage customs risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures, including timely and accurate quarterly and annual provision calculations and reporting packages for headquarters Proactively monitor local and EU customs and excise developments, assess their impact on the business and support other departments with customs and excise matters Manage and instruct external service providers and tax advisers to ensure that customs clearances, compliance and consulting activities are completed correctly Identify and implement opportunities to improve customs and excise processes and procedures, and ensure that the necessary customs rulings are in place Manage various customs-related tasks and projects as they arise or as requested by the manager / global functions Our requirements University degree or equivalent, plus local tax accreditation, a master’s degree in customs or another customs-related qualification Minimum seven years of experience in a similar role within a multinational FMCG organization or an advisory firm In-depth knowledge of local customs regulations and excise legislation Fluency in English and Polish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in financial applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and SAP, would be an advantage Ability to provide clear, practical advice and translate regulatory requirements into effective business processes and controls Strong ownership, decision-making and problem-solving skills, with a focus on simplification, timely delivery and accountability Excellent collaboration and stakeholder-management skills, with a one-team mindset and the ability to manage external advisers and relationships with authorities We offer Flexible work arrangements, growth opportunities, wellbeing initiatives, and excellent benefits Are you ready to join us?
