Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Location: Warsaw (hybrid, 2–3 days/week in the office)

About the roleWe are looking for a Chief Technology Officer who will lead the technological development of an advanced AI-powered product.

This is a highly strategic role combining technology leadership, system architecture, and coordination across multiple technical teams and external stakeholders.

The CTO will be responsible for defining a clear technology direction, translating product and business goals into scalable technical solutions, and ensuring effective collaboration across engineering teams and partners.

Responsibilities

Define and drive the overall technology strategy and technical roadmap.

Coordinate the work of internal development teams and external technology partners.

Design and oversee scalable system architecture leveraging GenAI and modern AI technologies.

Define the approach to language models, AI agents, inference, and model orchestration.

Oversee code quality, security, reliability, and scalability of the platform.

Establish technical standards, engineering processes, and architecture best practices.

Support technical decision-making across multiple teams and workstreams.

Represent the technology function during meetings with senior stakeholders and external partners.

Work closely with product and business leadership to align technology with long-term company goals.

Requirements

Previous experience as a CTO, Head of Engineering, Lead Architect, or in a comparable senior technology leadership role.

Strong expertise in system design and distributed systems architecture.

Hands-on understanding of LLMs, RAG, inference, AI agents, and model orchestration.

Experience leading multiple engineering teams and managing complex technical initiatives.

Ability to make high-level architectural decisions while maintaining a strong understanding of implementation details.

Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.

Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving and evolving technology environment.

Nice to have

Experience working on R& D, innovation, or externally funded technology projects.

Knowledge of Kubernetes, MLOps, cloud infrastructure, and GPU-based workloads.

Experience working with complex multi-stakeholder projects.

Experience building AI-powered products or platforms at scale.

Experience in a startup, scale-up, or other high-growth technology environment.
