We are partnering with a pioneering industry leader in the gaming and systems development sector. Our Customer designs and delivers premium game content, award-winning systems, and state-of-the-art gaming hardware, providing world-class gaming experiences globally. The project involves working across a distributed portfolio of applications, focusing on implementing quality engineering best practices, improving QA efficiency, and extending automated test coverage.

The Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mid Automation Test Engineer to join our team to work directly on our Customer’s gaming project. Reporting to the Lead Automation Engineer / Test Automation Manager, you will help build, maintain, and improve the automated framework across the Customer's portfolio of applications.

In this role, you will focus on quality engineering best practices, learn from cross-functional teams, develop automated test suites, and support the integration of automation processes into CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Automation Development & Maintenance: Design, write, and maintain automated test cases using industry-leading frameworks and tools.

Defect Analysis & Investigation: Analyze test results, identify defects, investigate test failures efficiently, and provide detailed reports and timely feedback to technology teams and stakeholders.

Code Reviews & Best Practices: Participate in regular code reviews and adopt best practices in coding, automation design, and quality engineering.

CI/CD & Agile Ceremonies: Support the integration of automation suites into CI/CD processes and actively participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with development and QA teams to clarify project requirements, ensure adequate test coverage, and contribute to team documentation and knowledge bases.

Skills / Experience:

Automation Experience: Practical experience automating tests with tools such as Selenium, Appium, GameBench, Test

Complete, or similar.

Programming & Scripting: Essential programming and scripting skills (Java).

Agile Methodologies: Clear understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and iterative software development lifecycle.

QA Tools: Basic experience with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).

Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, analytical thinking, and effective communication skills.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Haves:

Certifications: Certifications in software testing or automation (e.g., ISTQB).

CI/CD Practices: Familiarity with CI/CD practices and pipeline tools.

Multi-Project Environments: Exposure to working in cross-team, multi-project work environments.
