Are you an experienced CAD Application Support Engineer with L2/L3 expertise across industrial engineering software environments? emagine has an opportunity for you to support a global engineering team through a critical Microsoft platform migration and the day-to-day operational maintenance of complex CAD applications.

This is a CAD Application Support Engineer role at L2/L3 level, embedded within an IT Industrial Engineering team responsible for Autodesk, Bentley, and Dassault Systèmes platforms. You will manage the full incident lifecycle - from triage and troubleshooting to vendor escalation and root cause closure - while supporting a live migration to Microsoft SharePoint and handling individual workstation configurations via Windows and Microsoft Intune. The environment demands someone who understands engineering software, not just generic IT support. You will work across authentication, identity management, software deployment, and license compliance, coordinating with infrastructure, security, and procurement teams. Tickets are tracked in BMC Helix and Jira. Documentation quality and knowledge base maintenance are core deliverables, not afterthoughts. This is a role for a self-starting professional who can onboard quickly, operate autonomously, and adapt across a broad technical scope. Main Responsibilities Owning the L2/L3 engineering application support queue from first contact to resolution: Qualify, prioritise, and resolve incidents across Autodesk, Bentley, and Dassault Systèmes platforms.

Troubleshoot complex CAD and engineering application issues: reproduce, analyse, collect evidence, and identify workarounds.

Manage software deployments and post-installation validation on CAD workstations via Windows and Microsoft Intune, including package selection and compatibility testing.

Support the ongoing Microsoft 365 and SharePoint migration, including authentication, identity management, and individual workstation configuration challenges.

Administer and optimise software licenses across engineering vendors - allocation, usage reporting, compliance, and audit support.

Escalate to internal teams and vendors where required, and drive issues through to resolution with full traceability.

Maintain and evolve the application catalog, team procedures, and BMC Helix knowledge base articles.

Coordinate with IT, infrastructure, security, and procurement teams on cross-functional issues and remediation actions.

Manage ticket workflows in BMC Helix and Jira, maintaining quality, status accuracy, and closure standards. Key Requirements Proven L2/L3 support experience in engineering or CAD application environments.

Hands-on experience with at least one of: Autodesk, Bentley, or Dassault Systèmes platforms.

Proficiency with BMC Helix and/or Jira for incident and request management.

Windows and Microsoft Intune - workstation deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Microsoft 365 and SharePoint - document management, permissions, and migration experience.

Experience writing procedures and knowledge base articles (KBAs).

Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work autonomously and prioritise under pressure.

Structured communicator with solid cross-functional collaboration skills.

Ability to onboard rapidly and deliver independently from day one. Nice to Have Experience with software license compliance and vendor audit processes (Autodesk, Bentley, Dassault).

Familiarity with Google Drive to SharePoint migration projects.

Background in IT asset management or procurement coordination. Why This Role The scope spans CAD application support, Microsoft platform migration, workstation engineering, and license compliance - a rare combination that builds depth across both IT and industrial engineering domains. The team values adaptability: strong CAD specialists with some workstation experience are equally welcome as strong infrastructure engineers with an engineering software background. Other Details Working model: Remote, open to consultants based in Europe or EU Time zone.

Language: Fluent English essential Start: Rapid onboarding expected. Apply with your latest CV or reach out to Brendan to find out more.
