Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) process with suppliers to ensure smooth, non-event product launches in line with OEM and company-specific requirements.
Coordinate and drive PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) activities to successful completion using the supplier portal.
Collaborate closely with Plant Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE) to identify, assess, and mitigate launch risks.
Develop and implement supplier risk mitigation plans to ensure on-time project delivery.
Monitor and review APQP deliverables, including:
Feasibility commitments
- APQP plans
- Measurement and control plans
- Product and Process FMEA
- Validation plansRun@Rate activities
- Acceptance and appearance approval reports
- Checking fixture concepts and R& R studies
- Analyze initial production samples and oversee supplier part history tracking.
Drive convergence activities for critical safety, fit, and functional characteristics.
Ensure OEM-specific Significant Characteristics (SC) and Critical Characteristics (CC) are properly cascaded to suppliers and incorporated into FMEAs and control plans.
Support mountability and packaging validation activities, including build trials.
Lead supplier Run@Rate assessments to confirm manufacturing capacity and process capability.
Conduct supplier process audits as part of risk mitigation plans, including OEM-specific assessments such as VDA 6.3 where applicable.
Track and report supplier APQP and PPAP progress, providing regular status updates to Program Buyers, Supplier Program Managers, and Plant SQEs.
Validate ISAR (Initial Samples Acceptance Reports) with suppliers.

- Requirements:
University degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field.
Experience in Supplier Quality, APQP, and PPAP processes.
Strong knowledge of automotive quality standards and supplier quality management practices.
Experience in project management within a manufacturing or automotive environment.
Understanding of quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and Process Audits.
Knowledge of OEM quality requirements and automotive industry standards.
Experience with supplier audits and process validation activities.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
English proficiency (minimum B2/C1 level) required.
German language skills will be considered an advantage.
