Software Test Engineer (Manual & Automation)

PROJECT

Join an international technology environment within the banking and financial services sector, working on testing and quality assurance of IT systems.

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with experience in both manual and automated testing, strong SQL skills, and hands-on experience with API testing and Java-based test automation.

The role involves close collaboration with development, business analysis, and production support teams to ensure software quality and reliable system delivery.

YOU WILL

Perform manual and automated testing of IT systems and applications.

Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium.

Conduct API testing using tools such as SOAP UI.

Analyze requirements, technical specifications, and other project documentation to define appropriate test scenarios.

Document test results, track testing progress, and report defects using Jira and Confluence.

Collaborate with Production Support, Test Management, Solution Delivery, and Business Analysts to clarify requirements and coordinate testing activities.

Identify, investigate, and escalate testing issues and project risks.

Participate in testing activities within Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.

MUST HAVE

Minimum 3 years of experience in software testing, including manual and automated testing.

Hands-on experience with Java-based test automation and Selenium.

Practical knowledge of SQL, UNIX, and XML.

Experience in API testing, including SOAP UI.

Experience creating, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts.

Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Excel.

Understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

Experience working in an international environment.

Higher education.

Fluent English, both written and spoken.

NICE TO HAVE

Experience in the banking or financial services sector, ideally with payment systems.

Knowledge of Cucumber, JUnit, Spring Boot, or TypeScript.

ISTQB certification.
