Senior Product Manager About OtterlyAI OtterlyAI is at the forefront of a new era in digital marketing, pioneering the field of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). As the first AI search monitoring solution, we empower marketing teams and brands to optimize their presence across generative AI engines. Founded by seasoned SaaS entrepreneurs and recognized as a Gartner 2025 Cool Vendor, we help businesses navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of AI-driven search, ensuring their content remains visible and impactful in this new paradigm. We serve 5,000+ users across an international customer base and are growing rapidly.
Role Overview As Senior Product Manager, you will own significant parts of the OtterlyAI product end to end — from problem definition to shipped feature to adoption. You'll work directly with the CPO/Co-Founder and partner closely with our Engineering Lead, engineers, and Product Designer. This is a role for someone who thrives without a playbook. GEO is a category that didn't exist two years ago: there is no competitor roadmap to copy, no established best practice, and the ground moves every few weeks as OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, and others change how AI search works. You will need to form strong opinions from first principles, decide quickly with imperfect information, and be right often enough that the team can move at full speed. Responsibilities: Product Ownership
- Own defined product areas end to end: discovery, definition, prioritization, delivery, and adoption;
- Write clear, decisive specs and PRDs that engineers can build from without a meeting to decode them;
- Make scope and trade-off calls quickly, and hold the line on what we are not building;
- Define success metrics before launch and follow through on whether we hit them.
Market & Domain Depth
- Stay ahead of how generative engines (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews & AI Mode, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, etc..) surface, cite, and rank content — and translate those shifts into product opportunities;
- Own the competitive picture in a fast-consolidating market and know where we win;
- Bring SEO/GEO practitioner judgment into every product decision, so that what we ship is what marketers actually need. AI-Augmented Product Work
- Work AI-first by default: use tools like Claude, Claude Design, and similar to research, prototype, draft specs, analyze data, and build clickable concepts yourself instead of queuing work for others;
- Continuously find and systematize new AI-driven ways of working across the product process. Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate with unusual clarity in writing — our team is distributed across Europe and written communication carries most of the weight;
- Align engineering, design, marketing, and sales around a shared understanding of what's coming and why;
- Represent the product externally: customer conversations, release communication, launches, and enablement;
- Turn customer signal into decisions — support tickets, sales calls, usage data, community chatter, and your own hands-on use of the product. Working with Data
- Be fluent with product and usage data; form and test hypotheses without waiting for someone else to pull numbers;
- Contribute to pricing, packaging, and monetization decisions as we scale. Required Qualifications: Must-Have
- 4+ years in product management for B2B SaaS - MarTech, ideally with a data-heavy or analytics product;
- Hands-on experience in SEO, content marketing, or search technology — you understand how search works, how marketers work, and what they're measured on;
- Exceptional written and verbal communication in English; you can make a complex idea simple for an engineer, a customer, and a founder in the same day;
- Demonstrated product sense: a track record of shipping things that worked, and the judgment to make confident calls with limited data and short discovery cycles;
- Proven AI-first way of working (daily use of tools like Claude or comparable);
- Comfort with high velocity — you'd rather ship, learn, and iterate than perfect a plan;
- Experience working with distributed teams and strong ownership without close supervision. Nice-to-Have
- Prior experience in a startup or early-stage product team;
- Technical fluency: you can read an API doc, sketch a data model, and hold your own in an architecture discussion. What We Offer:
- Category Pioneer: A product seat at a Gartner-recognized company defining a new category (GEO)
- Critical Impact: Direct partnership with the Founding Team and short decision paths — what you decide on Monday can be live for customers within the week
- Real Ownership: Clear product areas that are yours, not a backlog you administer
- Competitive Compensation: Attractive salary range: 70.000 - 85.000 EUR/year
- Remote Work: Fully remote position within the EU timezone Recruitment Process:
