AboutWe are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a diverse, product-minded team and support an important data transformation project.

This is a 3–4 month full-time project focused on transforming an existing backend — currently largely based on multiple Google Spreadsheets — into a stable and scalable Data Warehouse solution.

The role is highly hands-on and combines data engineering, data modelling and pipeline development with a high level of ownership and close collaboration with Finance and Operations teams.

The data platform runs on Google Cloud Platform, with BigQuery as the data warehouse and dbt as the core transformation framework.

Responsibilities

Analyze the current data setup, workflows and Google Spreadsheet-based backend
Design and build a stable and scalable Data Warehouse solution on BigQuery
Build and maintain reliable ELT pipelines using dbt, Fivetran and similar modern data stack tools
Develop and maintain staging layers, dimensional models, marts and transformation logic
Migrate and consolidate data from multiple existing sources
Ingest data from external systems via AP
IsEnsure high data quality, consistency and maintainability
Support the setup of a user-friendly reporting / data access layer for Finance and Operations teams
Gather and translate business requirements into practical technical solutions
Work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Operations and Product
Take ownership of the project from initial analysis through implementation and handover
Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues

What you bring5+ years of experience in Data Engineering
Strong hands-on experience with SQL
Practical experience with dbt or a similar transformation framework
Hands-on experience with BigQuery and Google Cloud Platform
Strong experience building and maintaining ELT / data pipelines
Solid knowledge of data modelling, including dimensional models and Data Warehouse structures
Experience integrating data from different systems and AP
IsExperience working with cloud-based Data Warehouses
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
High level of independence and strong ownership mindset
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Fluent English
