Role summaryWe're looking for a hands-on Senior Backend Developer / Technical Lead (Python) to drive the technical execution of an enterprise integration solution built on top of the VMIA framework and Azure cloud. This role sits at the core of a system-to-system integration initiative for an international client — you'll design and build serverless backend components that move data reliably between Salesforce and surrounding systems, own the CI/CD pipelines that ship them, and use AI-assisted tooling to accelerate delivery without cutting corners on quality.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and scale Azure Functions and lightweight integration microservices, including background workers that handle large file attachment streaming (>10MB) and asynchronous payload processing.

Implement webhook listeners for Vault Spark notifications and outbound REST clients for write-backs to Salesforce.

Own REST API and integration architecture -JSON processing, asynchronous communication patterns, and system-to-system data transformation pipelines.

Configure and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines in GitHub (GitHub Actions / Workflows) to build and deploy containerized/serverless components into client-owned Azure environments.

Actively use GitHub Copilot and AI coding assistants to accelerate development, boost unit test coverage, and streamline documentation.

Contribute to architectural decisions and technology stack choices as part of a small, senior technical team.

Requirements

Must-have:

Strong hands-on experience with Azure Functions and serverless/microservices architecture

Advanced proficiency in REST APIs, webhooks, JSON processing, and asynchronous communication patterns

Practical experience setting up CI/CD pipelines in GitHub (GitHub Actions / Workflows)

Familiarity with GitHub Copilot or similar AI coding assistants in daily development workSolid programming skills in Python, React.js, and Type

Experience integrating with Salesforce (REST write-backs, event-driven patterns)

Experience with enterprise document/attachment streaming and large-payload processing
