About Us

Piano is a global enterprise software platform powering digital business models, subscription management, and customer analytics for world-leading media and publishing brands (including The Wall Street Journal, NBC

Universal, and Le Figaro). We operate in a mature engineering and product organization leveraging SAFe 6 at scale and an AI-accelerated product management workflow.

About the Role

As the Product Manager for Checkout, you will take strategic ownership of Piano’s conversion-critical purchase surface — the end-to-end user flow where readers convert into paying subscribers. Operating at the Agile Release Train (ART) level, you will balance business strategy, conversion rate optimization (CRO), UX design, and technology to maximize conversion rates and downstream recurring revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Roadmap: Define and maintain the 3–12 month product roadmap for Piano's checkout capabilities, aligning business goals with market opportunities.
  • Program Backlog & SAFe 6: Own and prioritize the Program Backlog (Features and Enablers) using value-based frameworks (WSJF, RICE); lead PI Planning preparation and empower Product Owners to execute autonomously.
  • CRO & Analytics: Define and monitor checkout KPIs (conversion rate, completion rate, MRR/ARR, retention impact) and use data to drive investment decisions.
  • Payment Ecosystems: Analyze market dynamics and strategic positioning at the intersection of Piano's checkout surface and payment service providers (strongly centered on Stripe).
  • AI Tooling & GTM: Actively leverage AI tools across discovery, data synthesis, and analysis, while collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success on go-to-market enablement.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of PM experience leading customer-facing checkout, payments, or subscription purchase flows.
  • Proven track record in CRO, optimizing user journeys, UX, and conversion funnels with measurable revenue impact.
  • Strong understanding of payment ecosystems, payment service providers, and subscription lifecycle economics (Stripe experience strongly preferred).
  • Experience with Agile at scale (SAFe 6 or scaled Agile frameworks) and data-driven decision-making (ROI analysis, product KPIs).
  • Fluency in English (C1+) with strong stakeholder management and presentation skills.
  • AI Fluency: Practical experience leveraging AI tools in everyday product discovery, market analysis, and workflows.

What We Offer

  • Direct ownership of a mission-critical surface impacting hundreds of millions of end users globally.
  • A mature product environment structured around SAFe 6 and cutting-edge AI product management practices.
  • Flexible hybrid working model with a modern office in central Warsaw.
  • Choice of employment contract (UoP / B2B), premium equipment (MacBook Pro or PC), and a comprehensive benefits package (private healthcare, sports card, life insurance).
