Introduction

Would you like to play a key role in shaping logistics procurement across an international group? As Procurement Specialist (m/f/d) – Transport & Logistics, you will translate procurement strategies into concrete results across Warehouse, Air, Ocean, Road and Parcels. Working closely with operational stakeholders and suppliers, you will identify opportunities, lead tenders and help build a more efficient, competitive and future-ready logistics setup across the DLG Group.

Your responsibilities

• You identify and map the current logistics landscape within assigned business areas in close collaboration with operational stakeholders, focusing on Activity, Cost and Quality across all logistics segments (Warehouse, Air, Ocean, Road and Parcels).
• You contribute to defining and implementing the logistics procurement strategy across the DLG Group.
• You lead and execute transparent tender processes in close collaboration with operational stakeholders, from requirement definition and supplier selection through negotiation and implementation
• You continuously analyse logistics markets, cost drivers and suppliers, creating a clear basis for commercial and strategic decision-making.
• You build trusted relationships with suppliers, manage supplier performance and develop strategic supplier partnerships
• You work closely with internal stakeholders, ensuring clear alignment between business needs, procurement objectives and Group requirements and guidelines

Your profile

• 5+ years logistics operational experience on the customer side OR 2+ years logistics procurement experience on the customer side
• Completed degree, e.g. in business administration, economics or a comparable qualification related to procurement is a benefit, but not a requirement
• You combine commercial clarity with empathy and are able to bring different perspectives together, balancing business needs, operational requirements and supplier interests.
• You communicate openly, honestly and reliably, both internally and externally
• You negotiate confidently and consistently while remaining fair and respectful
• Business-fluent German and English skills

Group Procurement is a newly established organisation within the DLG Group, with the purpose of creating greater transparency, collaboration and optimisation across the supplier landscape of our various business entities. Within Group Procurement, Logistics is defined as a separate category, and this position will work closely with the newly appointed Category Lead for Logistics.

As our new Procurement Specialist (m/f/d), you will be part of this journey from the beginning, giving you a unique opportunity to help shape how the DLG Group works with its logistics suppliers in the future.
