Process Engineer - Metrology (m/​d/​f) Premstätten, Styria, Austria – ams-OSRAM AG

Your tasks

  • Take ownership of processes and equipment for automated measurement systems in semiconductor production
  • Develop, maintain, and manage automated measurement programs
  • Analyze measurement data from production and development
  • Collaborate with equipment and software suppliers to evaluate new tools and application methods
  • Qualify and integrate new metrology systems into the production environment
  • Create and update production and quality-related documentation (e.g., Measurement System Analyses, Workstation Procedures, Utilization Reports)
  • Troubleshoot process issues and lead improvement initiatives across departments (Process Integration, R& D etc.)
  • Support R& D in developing and implementing new products and processes

Who we are looking for

  • University degree in a technical or scientific discipline (e.g., Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering) or equivalent professional experience
  • Hands-on experience with measurement techniques such as SEM, ellipsometry, UV/VIS/IR spectrometry, profilometry, etc.
  • Programming skills (Python) are a plus
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry, ideally in metrology, SPC, Six Sigma, 8D, or CIP methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Independent and structured working style
  • Fluent in German and English
