Your responsibilities
- define and lead the global network services function, including strategy, architecture, operations, service governance, and continuous improvement activities,
- own and drive the network strategy, roadmap, and architectural direction across enterprise, cloud, security, and OT network environments,
- establish and maintain network standards, lifecycle processes, documentation, operational procedures, and architecture principles, including OT segmentation and IT/OT boundary frameworks,
- translate the network roadmap into concrete initiatives and oversee planning, prioritisation, execution, and adoption of key activities,
- ensure reliable and consistent network service delivery across all regions by defining ownership models, support structures, escalation processes, and service expectations,
- oversee daily network operations, including availability management, maintenance activities, security controls, patching, performance optimisation, incident resolution, and operational risk mitigation,
- manage network service performance through SLA and KPI tracking, monitoring, reporting, service reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives,
- collaborate with key stakeholders, including enterprise architects, IT product managers, service managers, regional IT teams, support functions, business representatives, and external service partners,
- coordinate network delivery and operational activities across global regions, internal teams, suppliers, outsourcing partners, and managed service providers,
- manage network suppliers, contracts, budgets, commercial activities, and vendor performance in alignment with service objectives and roadmap priorities,
- lead and develop the network services organisation by shaping team structures, capabilities, roles, responsibilities, operating models, and employee development paths.
Our requirements
- demonstrated experience in leading network infrastructure or IT operations functions within international organisations, preferably in a manufacturing environment,
- experience managing global network services, operational teams, and external managed service providers across multiple geographical locations,
- strong knowledge of enterprise and industrial network technologies, including LAN/WLAN, WAN, SD-WAN, firewalls, network security, SASE, remote access solutions, and OT network environments,
- experience defining network architectures, standards, lifecycle processes, and strategic roadmaps, with understanding of OT segmentation concepts such as the Purdue model and IT/OT boundary controls,
- practical knowledge of network platforms and services, including Cisco, Meraki, Check Point, Azure cloud networking, connectivity solutions, and network automation,
- experience with service governance models, SLA/KPI management, monitoring, reporting, and operational improvement initiatives,
- experience managing network vendors, contracts, budgets, and outsourcing partners within a global network services environment,
- strong people leadership background, including managing distributed teams, developing capabilities, and establishing effective organisational structures, roles, responsibilities, and ways of working,
- hands-on and pragmatic leadership approach, combining operational understanding with strategic vision and a focus on continuous improvement,
- strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to align business teams, IT functions, regional stakeholders, and external partners across different cultures and operating models,
- experience with agile methodologies, product-oriented delivery models, or iterative ways of working is considered an advantage.
