Loadar replaces that with an ongoing relationship between a shipper and a trusted group of carriers, supported by live bidding, automation and good data. Shippers save money and admin time. Our customers include some of Europe's largest manufacturers, and we are now growing in the US. We are a small, seed funded team based in Northern Ireland.

The role

You will join our development team and work across the core of the platform, alongside our technical lead and founder. The problems are real ones, and your work reaches customers quickly.

What you will work on:

• Procurement workflows: how shippers run tenders and live bidding with their carriers, and how bids are judged on more than price
• Load execution: bookings, carrier updates, dock scheduling and the daily flow of freight
• Integrations with customers' ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle) and with carrier systems
• Reporting and analytics that customers use to run their logistics
• Performance, security and reliability as we grow
• What we are looking for
• 3+ years building and running production Rails applications
• Good PostgreSQL and data modelling skills
• Experience building APIs and integrating with third party systems
• Comfortable across back end and front end, taking a feature from the database to the screen
• You like owning a problem from start to finish and work well without close supervision
• Good written and spoken English. We work in English with colleagues and customers in the UK, Europe and the US
• Nice to have: logistics or supply chain products, ERP integrations, Heroku or AWS, experience at an early stage product company.

Our stack: Ruby on Rails, Hotwire, Tailwind CSS, PostgreSQL, Heroku.

What we offer

• $3,000 to $5,000 per month, depending on experience
• A long term, full time B2B contract, paid monthly in USD or EUR
• Remote, with flexible hours and a few hours' overlap with the UK working day
• 20 paid days off a year
