Your responsibilities

  • Leading the team that develops new features for and maintains clipx ENGINEER
  • Conducting regular 1-on-1 meetings with all direct reports

Our requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied computer science, software engineering, a closely related field, or equivalent industry experience
  • Several years of industry experience in software engineering as an individual contributor
  • Familiarity with common software engineering principles (e.g., software testing and QA, distributed source control and branch management, CI/CD, code signing, refactoring)
  • Very good communication skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English (at least CEFR level C1)

Optional

  • Degree or graduate certificate in leadership, management, engineering management, or business administration
  • Master’s degree in computer science, applied computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field
  • Experience with both class-based and prototype-based object-oriented programming (C# and TypeScript preferred) as well as web application and web service development
  • Prior experience as a people manager or tech lead
  • Working knowledge of management styles and when to apply them
  • Experience with several software development models, in particular waterfall, V, and agile
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and laws such as the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • Working fluency in German (CEFR level B2)
