Head of Delivery DACH

Role descriptionAt STX Next we are looking for a Head of Delivery who blends the strategic ownership of a Delivery Lead with hands-on execution - taking full accountability for portfolio health and P& L while directly leading key delivery projects, as the bridge between client strategy, business growth, and technical execution. What you'll doDirect delivery & governance - hands-on management of key software projects, ensuring quality, scope control, and Agile best practices.

Portfolio & P& L ownership - manage the financial health and profitability of your assigned client portfolio.

Client partnership & strategy - build trust-based relationships with international clients and lead Quarterly Business Reviews.

Business growth & pre-sales - partner with Sales on expansion plans, upsell/cross-sell, and late-stage deal pipelines.

Al & operational innovation - introduce Al-assisted delivery practices, metrics, and automation to boost margins.

Strategic alignment - partner with Heads and executive leadership on overall business goals.

Operational excellence & escalations - primary escalation point, implementing swift risk mitigation.

Team leadership - coordinate engineering leads and cross-functional teams for delivery excellence.

What we're looking for

Must have:5+ years in IT services management, combining hands-on delivery with strategic client ownership.

Fluent German (C1/C2) is a must, plus fluent English and Polish, written and spoken.

Dual mindset - able to switch between high-level P& L management and granular execution.

Commercial & financial acumen - T& M, Fixed Price, and Managed Services engagement models.

Modern tech & SDLC awareness - cloud-native environments and Al-driven delivery tooling.

Cross-functional collaboration - strong background partnering with Sales and Head-level leadership.

Extreme ownership & grit - accountability, analytical thinking, and confidence under pressure.

Stakeholder management - bridging technical delivery teams and C-level business executives.
