Full-stack Mid Software Engineer

We're looking for a Mid-level Software Engineer to join the development team behind our in-house Transport Management System (TMS). The TMS is the operational backbone of Egala: dispatchers plan trucks, trailers and drivers on it, drivers use its mobile app on the road, and finance invoices customers and pays drivers from the data it holds. It is a mature, actively developed product – a Python/Django backend, a React frontend, a Flutter driver app and a long list of integrations with telematics, routing, ferry and accounting providers, shipped to production roughly every week.

This is a full-time, on-site role in our office in Żerniki near Poznań, with the option of occasional remote work when the need arises. We offer an employment contract, a B2B contract is open to negotiation if needed. You will own features end to end: from a ticket, through data model, API and UI, to tests, release notes. If you write solid Python and JavaScript, are comfortable reading a large codebase you did not write, and like the idea that a routing bug shows up as a truck on the wrong side of a border, we'd love to meet you.

Our stack at a glance

• Backend – Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Celery with RabbitMQ and Redis, a WebSocket service (ASGI) for live updates, Gunicorn/gevent, Sentry and New Relic.
• Frontend – React, MobX and mobx-spine models, JavaScript, Semantic UI and styled-components, Leaflet maps.
• Mobile – TARA driver app in Flutter; several small native Android (Kotlin) tools such as the panic button and fleet-device managers.
• Integrations – many third-party systems: telematics, routing/toll calculation, ferries and Eurotunnel, tachograph downloads, Microsoft Graph, Exact Online, Firebase push, SFTP exchanges, AI-assisted order intake and receipt verification.
• Tooling – Docker Compose for the whole environment, GitLab CI with per-branch instant staging environments, Cypress (several hundred end-to-end specs).
• Scale – about 250k lines of backend code, 200k lines of frontend code, 100+ screens, releases roughly every week.
