SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Strong hands-on experience with at least one enterprise RDBMS, such as:

Oracle (e.g. RMAN, Data Guard, RAC, Exadata), orDB2, orPostgreSQL, orSQL-Server

Ability to learn and adopt new database technologies quickly.

Experience with shell scripting and automation (e.g. Bash, PowerShell, Python/Ansible—depending on platform).

Strong understanding of IT operations, including incident/change management and controlled production practices.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to explain technical topics clearly to varied audiences.

Strong organisation skills: methodical, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities.

Comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines, including out-of-hours support when required.
