Content Manager with WordPress (German Speaker)

We are looking for an experienced Content Manager with strong hands-on WordPress experience to support the management and ongoing development of a customer-facing website.

This role combines content management, stakeholder coordination and project management with hands-on technical responsibility for maintaining and improving the WordPress platform.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, including Marketing and UX/UI teams, acting as a point of contact between business needs and website delivery.

Your responsibilities

Content & stakeholder management

Manage website content, digital assets and metadata.

Work closely with business stakeholders, including Marketing and UX/UI teams.

Act as a key point of contact between the business and technical teams.

Provide recommendations related to UX/UI, accessibility and website improvements.

Support prioritisation, risk assessment and documentation.

Manage and track work using Jira and Confluence.

WordPress & website development

Work hands-on with WordPress, including WordPress VIP.

Support component development and implementation of new features and website changes.

Coordinate development activities and support move-to-production processes.

Maintain the website from a technical perspective, including plugin management and updates.

Proactively monitor website health and quality.

Quality & optimisation

Monitor and improve website performance and page speed.

Support accessibility and A11Y compliance.

Perform quality assurance activities related to website content and functionality.

Identify potential risks and improvement opportunities.

Coordinate fixes and enhancements with development teams.

What we are looking forAround 5+ years of relevant experience in web content management, website management or a similar role.

Strong hands-on experience with WordPress; experience with WordPress VIP would be highly beneficial.

Experience managing content, assets and metadata for customer-facing websites.

Ability to work with both business stakeholders and technical/development teams.

Experience using Jira and Confluence.

Understanding of website quality topics such as page performance, page speed and accessibility (A11Y).

Consulting mindset and ability to provide recommendations rather than simply execute requests.

Good organisational and stakeholder management skills.

German at approximately B1 level or above, with the ability to understand written German content. Spoken fluency is not required.

English communication skills.

Nice to have

Experience working with customer-facing websites.

Experience in a regulated or complex industry, such as Pharma.

Experience coordinating web development activities.

Exposure to UX/UI processes and teams.
