Compliance Analyst

About the role:

Aperam is committed to deploy and embed a compliance mindset by promoting a spirit and culture of individual and collective responsibility and an understanding and adherence to the Aperam policies and values at the company’s core in order to protect Aperam from the disrespect of internal and external standards.

To accomplish this mission, the Compliance team is in charge of:- Defining, planning, implementing and overseeing compliance risk-related programs including the third party due diligence process;- Coordinating and scheduling required compliance trainings for employees.

Responsibilities:- Supporting the Compliance officer in the implementation of the Compliance program within the group;- Perform due diligence reviews for suppliers and customers of Aperam in close collaboration with the sales, purchasing and sourcing teams around the world and based on the analysis of:- Country risk (Economic sanctions on the country or embargo, Non cooperative jurisdictions)- Activity risk (sectors linked to authorities and public agencies, state owned companies)- Ethical risk (ethical scandals, sanctions on individuals, Politically Exposed Persons)- Transactions (size of the business, date of creation, atypical currencies, bank location)- Take part in cross-functional projects to ensure global consistency across entities (CSRD, integration of new sectors, etc.)- Participate in the deployment of Compliance training for Aperam employees worldwide and coordinate the follow up of those trainings, including the follow up of KPIs and the communication with the Compliance correspondents network.

What we expect:

Ideally graduated from a law school or economic school with legal experience

• First experience ideally in industry or in Legal or Compliance departments
• English speaking
• Collaborative and excellent communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, empathy and the ability to act as a genuine business partner
• Ability to work autonomously while managing a wide variety of projects in parallel
• Demonstrated leadership, collaborative mindset and ability to influence without formal authority
• Customer-oriented and proactive team player, comfortable working in cross-functional environments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with non-lawyers and senior stakeholders.

• Compensation: Depending on experience and level of commitment, the base salary is expected to range from PLN 8 600 zł to PLN 10 765 zł gross monthly.

Location: Katowice

Work Mode: Hybrid working model. During the probation period (3 months), you will work from the office daily. After the probation period, there is the possibility to work 2 days from home and 3 days from the office, with flexible starting hours.
