Backend Engineer (Node.js)

ResponsibilitiesYou will join an international project team as part of a growing engineering group with a shared technology stack.

Design, develop, and maintain server-side Node.js applications and services

• Build and maintain system/data integration solutions, including data analysis, transformation, and validation
• Design and implement REST-like AP
• IsContribute to distributed systems architecture, applying sound design patterns for robustness, scaling, elasticity, consistency, replication, asynchrony, parallelism, and failure handling
• Work with AWS serverless services (Lambda, SQS, CloudWatch, S3) and, where applicable, DynamoDB, DocumentDB, and streaming services
• Optionally design, develop, and maintain Terraform infrastructure-as-code configurations for AWS
• Collaborate using the GitHub tool suite - branching strategies, CI/CD with GitHub Actions, and issue/ticket tracking
• Operate in a Linux environment, using shell scripting for day-to-day tasksRequirements4+ years of experience in Node.js (server-side JavaScript) development2+ years of experience in system/data integration (data analysis, transformation, validation)1+ years of experience working with distributed systems, with a solid understanding of their design patterns (robustness, scaling, elasticity, consistency, replication, asynchrony, parallelism, failure handling)2+ years of experience in REST-like API design and implementation
• Basic knowledge of designing, developing, operating, and troubleshooting AWS services (must-have, serverless-focused: Lambda, SQS, CloudWatch, S3)

Solid knowledge of the GitHub tool suite, including branching concepts, CI/CD (GitHub Actions), and working with issues/tickets

• Basic knowledge of Linux command-line tools and shell scripting
• Good communication skills (English) and team collaboration skillsNice to have
• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Terraform infrastructure-as-code configurations for AWS services
