Your responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for APIs (REST/SOAP) and E2E (Playwright + TypeScript).
- Create test scenarios and backend + end-to-end flow test cases using a risk-based approach.
- Validate API contracts, including error scenarios, to ensure correct behavior across integrations.
- Develop and refactor test frameworks in Java and TypeScript, keeping them maintainable and scalable.
- Analyze test results across functional, integration, and performance checks, and drive improvements based on findings.
- Diagnose defects by investigating logs, requests, and data, then document findings with full reproduction steps (including logs and recordings when needed).
- Maintain and grow test execution in CI/CD pipelines and perform code reviews for test assets in collaboration with developers.
- Support requirements analysis, refinement, and sprint planning, while contributing to the overall test strategy and quality metrics.
Our requirements
- 5+ years of experience in automated testing (API and/or E2E).
- Very strong knowledge of Java for backend automation.
- Strong TypeScript/JavaScript skills.
- Experience with API testing (REST), using tools such as Rest Assured and/or Gatling.
- Proven experience with E2E automation using Playwright.
- Working knowledge of SQL for data validation.
- Experience with Git (PRs & code review).
- Practical experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps) plus Maven or Gradle.
- Ability to work effectively in Agile/Scrum environments.
Optional
- Experience with performance testing (e.g., Gatling).
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
- Experience with tools like Swagger and API mocking.
