Technical Writer

Key Responsibilities

Documentation Development: Create and maintain comprehensive end-user documentation for the Benchling–LatchBio integration, including user guides, release notes, and FAQs.

Quality & Qualification Compliance: Ensure all documentation meets strict qualification requirements to support ongoing validation and quality assurance (QA) processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, QA, and product teams to gather precise technical details and translate them into clear, accessible content.

Content Lifecycle Management: Continuously review and update existing documentation to reflect product updates and functional changes.

Standards & Versioning: Establish, implement, and maintain company-wide documentation standards, templates, and version control practices.

Audit Readiness: Support qualification processes by ensuring all documentation is audit-ready and fully traceable to functional requirements.

Requirements

Experience: 3+ years of professional experience as a Technical Writer, preferably within life sciences, biotech, or SaaS environments.

Regulated Contexts: Strong preference for candidates with experience writing documentation for regulated environments or software qualification/validation contexts.

Communication Skills: Exceptional capability to translate highly technical, complex concepts into structured, user-friendly language.

Tooling: Familiarity with modern documentation platforms such as Confluence, GitBook, or similar systems.

Agile Mindset: Proven track record of working effectively within agile software development teams.

Pluses: Prior exposure to Benchling, bioinformatics, or laboratory informatics platforms (LIMS/ELN) is a strong advantage.
