Technical Lead Engineer - AI Systems & Node.js & Nest.js

For the project that we are working on with our partner, we are looking for Tech Lead Engineer - AI Systems & Node.js & Nest.jsYour duties will include:

This is a hands-on Principal-level position for someone who can design backend architecture, regularly contribute production code, and lead key technical decisions.

You will have a real impact on the architecture, scalability, security, and quality of the product.

Tech stack: Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, PostgreSQL, Prisma, Redis, BullMQ, event-driven architecture, OAuth, RBAC, and observability. Requirements that must be met:

At least 7 years of commercial experience in production backend development.

Strong production experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS.

Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL, including query execution plans, indexing, transactions, and raw SQL when required, rather than relying exclusively on an ORM.

Experience with asynchronous and event-driven systems, including queues, retries, idempotency, and background job processing.

Strong understanding of security concepts, including OAuth 2.0, RBAC, ABAC, OWASP, audit logs, secrets management, and permission boundaries.

Experience with multitenant systems, data isolation, and Row-Level Security patterns.

Experience writing Architecture Decision Records and leading architectural decisions.

Practical experience with AI-assisted or agentic coding while maintaining strong control over code quality.

Strong ownership of backend architecture, databases, observability, and infrastructure.

Very good English and Polish
