Senior Test Automation Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior SDET / Test Automation Engineer to join a team developing a complex solution in the healthcare domain.

The system connects laboratory instruments operating on-premise with cloud applications, allowing data to flow through multiple components and integrations before reaching end users.

From a testing perspective, this creates an interesting challenge – building a stable and repeatable E2E testing approach for an environment combining hardware, on-premise systems, messaging and cloud services.

About the project

The solution consists of multiple interconnected components, so an important area of development is improving the approach to end-to-end and integration testing.

Depending on the test scenario, the team may work with physical hardware, simulators or mocked data. The technical environment includes TypeScript, RabbitMQ, Linux, Kubernetes, REST APIs and AWS.

You will have the opportunity to contribute not only to test automation itself, but also to how the overall testing approach and infrastructure should be designed.

Your responsibilities

• Design and develop E2E and integration test automation
• Build and improve reliable, repeatable test environments
• Automate testing of APIs and integrations between system components
• Work with RabbitMQ and messaging-based communication
• Develop test automation in Type
• Script
• Work with hardware, simulators and mocked environments
• Investigate and debug issues across different parts of the system
• Work closely with developers and other engineering teams
• Contribute to the overall test strategy and automation approach
• What we're looking forStrong commercial experience in test automation / SDET
• Very good knowledge of Type
• Script
• Experience with RabbitMQ or similar messaging technologies – RabbitMQ is strongly preferred
• Experience designing and implementing E2E and integration tests
• Experience working with complex systems consisting of multiple components and integrations
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Ability to independently propose and design automation solutions
• Experience with Linux, Kubernetes, REST APIs and AWS will be useful in the project's technical environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with hardware-to-cloud, edge-to-cloud or IoT solutions
• Experience testing applications based on Electron
• Knowledge of certificates, security and authentication between systems
• Experience in healthcare, medical devices or regulated environments
