For one of our clients, we’re now looking for a Senior IT Project Manager / Release Manager to join a high-energy team focused on ensuring efficient, predictable, and high-quality software delivery across complex IT environments. In this role, you will take ownership of release planning and orchestration, coordinate multiple stakeholders, and ensure smooth deployments from preparation through post-release activities. You will also contribute to improving release processes through automation, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices.
Position is hybrid (3 days per week from the office in one of the locations: Warsaw / Gdańsk / Gdynia). B2B contract.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and maintain release roadmaps for one or more applications
- Plan and manage multiple parallel releases and deployment activities
- Coordinate go-live and post-go-live activities
- Track change activities throughout the full release lifecycle
- Facilitate release decision meetings and secure stakeholder approvals at key milestones
- Coordinate handover activities between development and operations teams
- Ensure deployment plans and runbooks are complete, consistent, and ready for execution
- Monitor release progress, risks, dependencies, and operational readiness Identify opportunities to improve release quality and efficiency through automation and DevOps practices
- Support the adoption and continuous improvement of CI/CD processes
- Contribute to release orchestration using automation tools
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Release Managers, Test Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, and Operations teams
- Ensure compliance with established IT processes and quality standards
- Requirements:5+ years of experience in IT project management, planning, or a related roleProven experience in Release Management or Deployment Management
- Hands-on experience with Incident, Problem, and Change Management within an ITIL framework
- Strong knowledge of Jira and Confluence
- Practical experience with CI/CD practices and deployment processes
- Basic understanding of DevOps methodologies and ways of working
- Strong technical understanding and ability to collaborate effectively with development teams
- Experience reviewing or validating deployment plans and technical runbooks
- Strong stakeholder management, coordination, and communication skills Excellent analytical and organizational skills High level of ownership, proactivity, and adaptability
- Practical experience working with Agile, Scrum, and/or SAFe methodologies
- Willingness and flexibility to support planned implementation events during evenings or weekends when required
- Advanced English and Polish, both written and spokenNice to have:
Experience working in complex, highly regulated IT environments
- Previous experience in the banking or financial services sector Experience with release orchestration and deployment automation tools
- Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and automated deployment pipelines
- Experience contributing to process automation and release efficiency improvements
- Experience coordinating large-scale or multi-application releases
- Knowledge of additional IT service management practices
