Senior Java Backend Developer

Responsibilities:

Upgrade applications to Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.3.x baseline

• Design, develop and maintain Java applications supporting savings and investments products
• Build calculation engines ensuring compliance with tax regulations across multiple countries
• Develop solutions supporting complex business processes, tax authority integrations and customer-facing reporting
• Participate in requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing and deployment activities
• Collaborate with financial analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions Requirements:

Proven experience in Java and Spring Boot upgrade projects

• Strong proficiency in Java 21 and Spring BootHands-on experience with PostgreSQL and SQL
• Practical knowledge of messaging technologies such as JMS, MQ or similar
• Strong understanding of Java frameworks including Spring and Hibernate
• Experience with relational databases and SQL-based development
• Knowledge of OpenAPI and AsyncAPI for producing and consuming data
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of software design patterns and object-oriented programming principles
