Senior IT Security Architect / Consultant

Assignment Period: August 3, 2026 – December 31, 2026Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior IT Security Architect / Consultant to support and strengthen the organization's cybersecurity capabilities. The consultant will work closely with IT, security, and business stakeholders to design, review, and implement secure technology solutions while ensuring alignment with the organization's security strategy, architecture, and compliance requirements.

This is a hands-on senior consulting role requiring strong technical expertise combined with the ability to advise stakeholders and lead security initiatives across complex IT environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design and review secure enterprise, infrastructure, cloud, and application architectures.

Provide expert guidance on security architecture, cybersecurity best practices, and risk mitigation.

Conduct security assessments, architecture reviews, and threat modeling for new and existing solutions.

Develop and maintain security standards, reference architectures, and technical security guidelines.

Support implementation of security controls across cloud and on-premises environments.

Collaborate with project teams to ensure security is integrated throughout the solution lifecycle.

Identify security risks and recommend pragmatic remediation plans.

Support vulnerability management, identity and access management, network security, and endpoint security initiatives.

Assist with regulatory compliance and security governance activities.

Provide technical leadership and mentor internal teams on secure architecture and security best practices.

Required Qualifications

Extensive experience as a Senior IT Security Architect, Security Consultant, or similar senior cybersecurity role.

Strong knowledge of enterprise security architecture frameworks and cybersecurity principles.

Hands-on experience with cloud security (Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud), network security, identity and access management, and security technologies.

Experience performing security architecture reviews, risk assessments, and threat modeling.

Solid understanding of security standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls, and Zero Trust principles.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, SABSA, TOGAF, CISM, or Azure/AWS security certifications are considered an advantage.
