Senior Android Developer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Android Engineer to join our engineering team on behalf of our client, a global technology leader. In this role, you will contribute to scalable, high-impact communication solutions, building and refining mobile products within an international engineering environment.

Essential functions

Design, develop, and optimize robust, high-performance Android features and components.

Collaborate with international cross-functional teams, including product leads, UI/UX designers, backend engineers, and architects, throughout the full SDLC.

Ensure high code quality, maintainability, and application stability by writing clean, modular code and unit/integration tests.

Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural planning to drive continuous engineering improvement.

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance bottlenecks, memory issues, and complex technical bugs.

Maintain and evolve modular application architecture to support scalable feature delivery.

Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, supporting backlog refinement, task estimation, and predictable sprint delivery.

Qualifications5+ years of commercial software engineering experience.

Expert understanding of Android SDK core concepts (Activity/Fragment Lifecycle, Services, Push Notifications, Location Services).

Strong foundation in modern Android development standards, architectural patterns, and core libraries.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills for daily interaction with distributed global teams.

Proven experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies in a results-oriented environment.

Would be a plus

Experience in designing and developing modular application architectures.

Track record of successful, end-to-end commercial mobile application releases.

Familiarity with mobile CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and static analysis tools.
