Tasks

Your Responsibilities

  • Coordinate monthly payroll processing with the external payroll provider
  • Ensure accurate payroll changes for hires, exits, salaries and absences
  • Review payroll results and coordinate corrections when required
  • Support payroll reconciliations and ensure payroll data accuracy
  • Liaise with payroll, tax and social security providers
  • Act as first contact for employee payroll and benefits questions
  • Administer employee benefits, pensions, insurance and mobility programs
  • Maintain benefit records and ensure correct payroll treatment
  • Prepare contracts, amendments, certificates and HR documentation
  • Coordinate onboarding, offboarding and employee lifecycle processes
  • Monitor absences, working time, parental leave and sickness records
  • Maintain accurate employee data in HR and payroll systems
  • Prepare HR and payroll reports and support audits and compliance
  • Support HR system administration and process improvement initiatives
  • Provide operational support to the HR Director Northern Europe
  • Back-up of Team Assistant

Profile

What We Expect From You

  • Degree in HR, Business, Finance or related field, or equivalent training
  • Payroll qualification (e.g. Lohn- und Gehaltsbuchhaltung) is a plus
  • Min. 2-3 years' experience in German payroll administration
  • Knowledge of German labour, tax and social security regulations
  • Experience with payroll providers, tax advisors and benefits providers
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (e.g. SAP, DATEV, HR Works)
  • Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel
  • Fluent German and very good English skills
