MSSQL Database Administrator

Required Qualifications5+ years of experience as a SQL Database Administrator.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server administration and architecture.

Solid understanding of SQL performance tuning and query optimisation.

Experience with database backup strategies, recovery processes, and disaster recovery planning.

Knowledge of high availability technologies including replication and log shipping.

Experience with database maintenance, monitoring, and capacity management.

Good understanding of database structures, indexes, file groups, and memory management.

Experience working with Windows Server environments.

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience administering Oracle databases.

Knowledge of database migration and upgrade projects.

Experience supporting mission-critical environments operating 24x7.

Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management practices.

Shell scripting or automation experience.

Pre-sales or transition management experience is an advantage.
