Mid-Level Java Developer – Cloud-Native and Microservices

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be working for our client, a leader in the financial industry, specializing in securities settlements and post-trade processing systems. You will contribute to building a modern, cloud-native environment using advanced technologies and AI-assisted development tools, driving innovation in financial services and operational excellence.

Your main responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices utilizing Spring Boot.

Work with event-driven architectures using Kafka to ensure scalable, real-time data processing.

Deploy and manage applications on Kubernetes, leveraging Argo CD for continuous delivery.

Participate in CI/CD pipeline management with GitLab to streamline development workflows.

Monitor and observe system performance using Prometheus, Grafana, and Elastic Stack to ensure optimal operation.

Collaborate within an agile, cross-functional team environment to deliver high-impact solutions.

Leverage AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Devin, Claude) to boost productivity and code quality.

Contribute to the evolution of security and post-trade processing infrastructure.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

Minimum 3 years of experience in Java development.

Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot frameworks.

Experience with SDLC tools such as GitLab.

Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

It is a strong plus if you have:

Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS.

Experience with securities settlements and post-trade processing systems.

Familiarity with Argo CD, Prometheus, Grafana, or Elastic Stack.

Experience with AI development tools like Devin, Claude, or GitHub Copilot.
