Configuration/ Deployment Specialist Services (SharePoint) (m/f/n)

We are looking for an experienced Configuration / Deployment Specialist (Advanced) to join a long-term project delivered for a European Union organization based in Warsaw, operating within the security and defence sector.

This role is ideal for a senior IT professional with strong expertise in SharePoint platforms, software deployment, Release Management, application environments, and Azure-based development ecosystems.

About the Project:

The project focuses on the development, maintenance, deployment, and continuous improvement of a critical business platform built on Microsoft SharePoint technologies, supporting operational and business processes within an international environment.

The successful candidate will be involved in:

Software deployment and release management.

Configuration and maintenance of application environments.

Application build, integration, and deployment activities.

Optimization of application servers from performance, security, and quality perspectives.

Support for Azure-based development and deployment environments.

Configuration management and technical documentation.

Monitoring and analysis of system performance and health.

Supporting additional SharePoint-based initiatives and solutions.

The project is delivered in close cooperation with international stakeholders, technical teams, business representatives, and external contractors, following Agile and/or RUP methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Support ICT teams in application build, integration, and deployment activities across backend systems and end-user devices (PC and mobile).

Manage and maintain application environments and system configurations.

Support project teams during system testing activities.

Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot system performance and operational issues.

Ensure system availability, stability, and overall health.

Report, coordinate, and track technical issues related to application environments.

Coordinate technical activities with external vendors and contractors on behalf of the client's ICT department.

Support the deployment and maintenance of development environments in Microsoft Azure.

Manage software release and configuration processes.

Produce and maintain technical documentation.

Estimate deployment effort, timelines, and technical impact.

Recommend technical solutions to business and technical challenges.

Collect and interpret software and infrastructure metrics.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of deployment and configuration processes.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in ICT, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (mandatory).

Minimum 8 years of professional IT experience.

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Configuration / Deployment Specialist or in a similar role.

Proven experience in software development and deployment environments.

Technical Skills:

Excellent knowledge of software deployment management.

Good knowledge of Release Management processes.

Practical knowledge of RUP and/or Agile methodologies.

Experience working with application servers.

Experience with build and deployment tools such as Azure Pipelines, Ant, or similar technologies.

Knowledge of software development tools and software development lifecycle processes.

Good understanding of relational databases (RDBMS).

Experience producing technical documentation.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Ability to work effectively in multicultural and international environments.

Specific Requirements:

Mastery of Microsoft SharePoint and SharePoint-specific tools.

Extensive experience in application build and deployment activities.

Experience working with Microsoft Azure environments.

Strong understanding of configuration management and release processes.

Experience monitoring system health, performance, and availability.

Exceptional collaboration and teamwork skills.

Ability to work across a variety of technologies and platforms.

Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

Formal Requirements:

A valid English language certificate at B2 level or higher is required. If needed, SHIMI can support candidates in preparing for and obtaining the required certification through an English language assessment process.

EU citizenship is mandatory.

Services must be provided from Poland.

Candidates may be asked to come to the office in Warsaw at the client's request.

Following offer acceptance, candidates will be required to provide a Certificate of No Criminal Record.

Candidates must provide a copy of their higher education diploma.

Offer:

Long-term B2B contract with SHIMI.

Expected cooperation period of approximately 4 years (48 months).

Rate: 400-440 EUR/MD net + VAT.

Primarily remote work (Near-Site delivery model).

Occasional visits to the client's office in Warsaw, up to 12 days per quarter, although significantly fewer visits are expected in practice.

Mandatory onboarding in Warsaw, including equipment collection.
