Azure DevOps Engineer

Azure DevOps Engineer – Freelance/B2B

We are currently seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer with at least 5 years of relevant experience to join a team of Senior DevOps Engineers. You will be responsible for managing, optimising, and securing Azure cloud and edge infrastructure, with a strong focus on Kubernetes, CI/CD automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and production support.

Contract: 12 months, with potential for extension Engagement: Freelance / B2B

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and optimise Azure cloud infrastructure and production Kubernetes (AKS) clusters.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Pipelines and GitHub Actions.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Implement and maintain infrastructure security, Azure networking, and configuration management.
• Troubleshoot complex application, infrastructure, and deployment issues across cloud and edge environments.
• Use scripting and automation to improve operational efficiency and platform reliability.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and security teams to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure.
• Apply Agile/Scrum methodologies to support effective delivery and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes (AKS), Ansible, and Git.
• Practical experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions, and GitHub Copilot.
• Knowledge of Terraform, Docker, Helm, Azure networking, and cloud security.
• Proficiency in PowerShell or Python for scripting and automation.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in cloud and production environments.

Desirable

• Microsoft Azure or Kubernetes-related certifications.
