The Opportunity: AI forecasting capabilities are finally strong enough to compete with human experts, but the space is still wide open. Our goal is to build the "Bloomberg Terminal" for geopolitical intelligence, starting with a Metaculus competition bot and expanding to serve enterprise clients.

Compensation & Growth:

• Salary: 235,000-390,000 PLN annually (€55,300-91,770)
• Equity: 0.5-3% founding engineer equity with accelerated vesting
• Flexibility: Fully remote with 3+ hour overlap with US Eastern time
• Learning Budget: €2,000 annually for conferences, courses, and professional development
• Equipment: MacBook Pro M3, external monitor, and home office setup allowance

Timeline & Expectations: This is a fast-moving startup opportunity. We're targeting MVP completion in 3 months, seed funding in 6 months, and first enterprise contracts within 12 months. You'll have enormous influence over our technical direction and company culture.

Your responsibilities

1. Design and implement our core forecasting engine using cutting-edge LLM ensemble techniques, including pgodzinai's question grouping innovation and advanced aggregation methods
2. Build production-ready APIs for real-time geopolitical event prediction with enterprise-grade security and scalability
3. Develop sophisticated information retrieval systems integrating multiple news sources (AskNews, Perplexity) with LLM-based relevance filtering
4. Implement statistical calibration and uncertainty quantification systems to ensure reliable probability estimates
5. Make critical technology stack decisions and establish development best practices from day one
6. Design system architecture for both real-time prediction and batch processing of large-scale forecasting tasks
