Our requirements

• Vocational training / profession: Minimum IT specialist / Bachelor in technical computer science
• Language skills: English (minimum B2 level)
• Job-related experience: Over 5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA in the enterprise, including performance tuning, RMAN, and troubleshooting
• Additional knowledge/skill/experience: Strong knowledge of database security best practices and compliance requirements. Good communication skills to collaborate with other IT professionals and stakeholders. Experience with Exadata, KVM, and Oracle Restart would be beneficial. Good Unix and shell scripting experience. Automation and DevOps knowledge can be beneficial

Your responsibilities

• Installation and Configuration: Setting up instances and configuring databases
• Maintenance and Upgrades: Regularly updating and maintaining database systems to ensure optimal performance
• Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitoring database performance and tuning SQL queries to improve efficiency
• Security Management: Implementing security measures to protect data, including setting up user roles and permissions
• Automation and Scripting: Developing and maintaining scripts for automating routine tasks, including implementing PowerShell scripts for administrative tasks
• Backup and Recovery: Designing and implementing backup and disaster recovery plans to prevent data loss
• Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving database-related issues and errors
• Collaboration: Working closely with developers to optimize application performance and support database-related development tasks
• Documentation: Maintaining documentation for database configurations, procedures, and processes
