A stamping line operator is the first step in the process of making hose clamps. The operator loads the raw material into the stamping machine, checks the parts in the quality lab, dumps scrap, cleans their work area and then takes the stamped parts to the oven room. A variety of tools are used along with crane and walking power jack.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Use of a crane
• Use of a walking power jack
• Use of tools such as wrenches, hand jacks, gauges, etc.
• Mechanically inclined decision making
• Self sufficiency

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and understand job documentation
• Physical coordination to lift and move product
• Trainable with fork lift truck
• Ability to handle multiple tasks
• Written and oral communication skills with attention to detail
• Math ability, including conversions (English & Metric units)
• Ability to read, use and understand measuring devices
• Ability to understand machine computer functions
• Trainable with CNC, PLC controls and SPC documentation
• Ability to load material, perform changeovers, make needed adjustments during production and/or tooling changes on the Stamping Line
• Perform machine adjustments and repairs
