Create and maintain data pipelines, ETL jobs, and automation tools using libraries like Pandas, Numpy, and platforms such as Airflow or Luigi. Build, deploy, and operate containerized services using Docker and Kubernetes within CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins or GitLab. Support existing services through bug fixing, troubleshooting, and writing automated tests to ensure robust and secure software. Participate in peer code reviews, contribute to process improvements, and mentor junior developers to uphold best practices. Integrate cybersecurity tools and automation to enhance vulnerability detection and security measures across the bank’s estate. You're ideal for this role if you have: 5+ years of experience with Python web development, especially using FastAPI, Flask, or Django. Proven expertise in building data pipelines with Pandas, Numpy, and tools like Airflow or Luigi. Strong understanding of microservice architecture patterns, including CQRS, SAGA, and event sourcing. Hands-on experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and deploying via CI/CD pipelines. Solid Linux sysadmin skills and familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, and networking fundamentals. Proficiency with Git, version control strategies, and front-end basics such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Advanced SQL skills capable of constructing complex queries. A test-driven approach, with experience developing automated unit, integration, and functional tests. Good knowledge of agile and DevSecOps processes, with tools like Jira and Confluence. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, enabling effective collaboration across global teams.
