DIMETRA Connect is a newly formed team responsible for designing and implementation of a new DIMETRA IP Gateway that will enable communication with Tetra Devices via IP networks.Our product will be developed and tested in Java in our R&D center in Krakow with cooperation with the Tetra Device teams from Denmark and Malaysia.Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Java Software Engineer who has at least 3 years of professional experience to develop with us a new DIMETRA Connect Application Server. Our goal is to build a real-time server with very good performance that will be providing voice and data services to Tetra Devices via IP using websocket signaling and SRTP audio streams.The successful candidate will take part in a whole software lifecycle process related to the software run on the server (hosted on RHEL 8). This includes design, development, testing and integration of our communication systems solution with mobile devices.The position requires availability to work from office 2 days per week (Tuesday and Thursday).Basic RequirementsProficiency in Java (JDK 21) language with at least 4 years of proven experienceKnowledge of Java ConcurrencyPractical knowledge of Linux operating system and virtualizationKnowledge of networking protocols and IP programming on LinuxAbility to write JUnit testsEnglish language skillsAdditional Knowledge/Skills:Experience with dependency injection in Java (CDI)Experience with Spring and/or QuarkusExperience with Netty FrameworkCI/CD tools and techniques, ie: JenkinsExperience working with GIT, Artifactory, JIRAExperience with Audio streams handling (RTP, ACELP)Knowledge about websocketsKnowledge about garbage collectorIn return for your expertise, we’ll support you in this new challenge with coaching & development every step of the way.
