We bring proven expertise to complex transformation programmes while ensuring meaningful knowledge transfer to empower our partners for future challenges.This role will support the delivery of the Softphone Solution, a key initiative within the Workplace Modernisation Programme. The project aims to migrate from the existing Alcatel Lucent IP telephony platform to a Microsoft Teams Phone solution, delivering a single, integrated voice service aligned to existing departmental platforms by Q4 2026.Are you intrigued? Do you want to learn more?A snapshot of your key responsibilities as a Business Analyst would be: Engage stakeholders across the Department to elicit, analyse, validate, and prioritise telephony and business requirements Conduct stakeholder interviews and facilitate workshops to support requirements gathering and prioritisation Analyse and document the current telephony environment, including PBX, SIP trunks, call flows, and usage patterns Produce As-Is and To-Be process maps, aligning business processes to Microsoft Teams Phone workflows Perform gap analysis between the legacy telephony system and Microsoft Teams Phone capabilities Produce a full suite of business analysis artefacts, including: Business Requirements Documents (BRD) Functional Requirements Documents (FRD) MoSCoW-prioritised Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) Use cases, features, epics, and user stories Requirements traceability documentation Ensure all analysis artefacts are fit for purpose to support public-sector procurement processes (RFT / RFP) Prepare Requests for Change (RFCs) for weekly CAB meetings Define UAT scenarios, coordinate User Acceptance Testing, and capture feedback Undertake change impact assessments and support change management activities Maintain requirements traceability throughout delivery and validate requirements post-deployment Document lessons learned and update process documentation Requirements:Essential Experience & Skills Proven experience as a Business Analyst on complex ICT or digital transformation programmes Strong background in requirements gathering and documentation for public-sector procurement Experience evaluating or implementing COTS, SaaS, and/or low-code/no-code platforms Proficiency using Azure DevOps (or equivalent) for requirements management Experience using MS Dynamics 365 CRM or similar platforms Strong business process modelling skills using BPMN, Visio, or equivalent tools Solid understanding of Microsoft Teams Phone architecture, including Direct Routing, Operator Connect, and Calling Plans Familiarity with SIP trunking, SBCs, and telephony call flow concepts Awareness of network considerations such as QoS, latency, jitter, and bandwidth Strong data analysis skills using Excel, SQL, or similar tools Experience facilitating workshops using tools such as Miro, Mural, or MS Whiteboard Excellent written and verbal communication skills Qualifications Professional certification in Business Analysis or Product Development Agile BA certification or demonstrable Agile delivery experience (Scrum / Kanban) Level 8 degree in Computer Science, ICT, or a related discipline (or higher) Desirable Experience supporting Irish public-sector RFT/RFP processes Experience on education, citizen services, or digital government programmes Familiarity with cloud-based SaaS evaluations and data migration planning Strong understanding of GDPR, accessibility standards, and procurement legislation So, are you ready to join our team?It’s important to remember, emagine is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
