Senior Project Scheduler — Substation Construction (Primavera P6)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Scheduler with strong expertise in Primavera P6 and full project lifecycle scheduling within engineering, EPC, and substation construction environments. This role is responsible for creating, maintaining, analyzing, and presenting project schedules while partnering closely with project managers, engineering teams, subcontractors, and field leadership to ensure schedule accuracy, integrity, and alignment with project milestones.
The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of scheduling experience, strong knowledge of high-voltage substation projects, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional EPC teams in a fast-paced project delivery environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and present detailed project schedules in Primavera P6 for EPC substation projects.
- Partner closely with project managers, engineers, procurement, superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and up-to-date schedule inputs.
- Validate schedule logic, identify gaps, and resolve missing or inaccurate activity relationships.
- Perform time-impact analyses and support schedule assessments for delays, scope changes, and recovery plans.
- Insert, track, and maintain change orders and schedule impacts in coordination with project leadership.
- Support preparation of schedule narratives, reporting, and contractual documentation.
- Generate monthly and milestone-based schedule metrics and progress reporting.
- Ensure contractual milestones are reflected and monitored within the project schedule.
- Promote a culture where schedules are used as active project management tools — not static visuals.
- Document project events affecting schedule, scope, performance, or efficiency.
- Support cross-organizational collaboration across sales, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10 years of scheduling experience in engineering and/or construction project management.
- Proven experience supporting full project lifecycle scheduling in substation or high-voltage EPC projects.
- Expert-level proficiency with Primavera P6.
- Strong understanding of:
- EPC delivery models
- Cost control, estimating, procurement, and project controls
- Ability to work analytically and collaboratively in problem-solving environments.

Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting high-voltage substations or power infrastructure projects.
- Experience performing schedule delay analysis & claims support.
- Prior EPC or utility industry experience.
