Requirements description

3–4+ years of commercial experience in Go

Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform or other public cloud

Strong understanding of concurrency (goroutines, channels, WaitGroups, Mutex)

Knowledge of the Context package

Experience with memory profiling/debugging (OOM, profiling tools)

Microservices experience: Docker, Kubernetes

Distributed systems — building scalable, high-traffic, highly reliable systems

Event-driven architecture

Strong PostgreSQL skills (query optimization, indexes)

At least one NoSQL database (MongoDB or Spanner)

Nice to have: Java experience (Go/Java ecosystem, legacy migration)

Your responsibilities

1. Design, build, and maintain distributed microservices written primarily in Go
2. Work on high-scale, high-availability systems processing massive traffic with strict reliability requirements
3. Implement event-driven architectures and communication patterns using Kafka or Google Pub/Sub
4. Develop and optimize PostgreSQL queries and work with at least one NoSQL database
5. Build cloud-native solutions on GCP and deploy workloads via Kubernetes
6. Profile, debug, and optimize memory usage (including investigating OOM, performing profiling)
