Requirements description

Required Experience and Skills

• 7+ years of professional experience administering Linux systems in production environments.
• Strong background in Linux system configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting (AlmaLinux or RHEL preferred).
• Experience managing infrastructure in at least one major cloud environment (AWS, Oracle, or GCP).
• Practical experience operating and troubleshooting Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with network administration (VPN, DNS, firewalls, routing).
• Experience with Apache, PostgreSQL, and Postfix.
• Competence in scripting and automation (Bash essential; Ansible or similar a plus).
• Solid understanding of system security, backups, and recovery procedures.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fully remote, collaborative setting.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with hybrid infrastructure (physical servers + cloud + containers).
• Exposure to ISO 27001 or Cyber Essentials Plus certified environments.
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
• Understanding of identity and access integration (Active Directory, SSO).

Your responsibilities

2. • Monitor, maintain, and improve Linux-based infrastructure across multiple regions (Rackspace, AWS, Oracle Cloud, GCP).
3. • Ensure the stability and performance of servers and core services (web, database, backup).
4. • Perform OS and security updates with proper testing and documentation.
5. • Diagnose and resolve system, network, and performance issues across production and staging environments.
6. • Participate in a shared on-call rotation to handle critical incidents outside of business hours.
