Third Party Management (“TPM”), within Global Procurement, is a first line global function responsible for developing the tools and processes to enable the Bank to be compliant with the Group Third Party Risk Policy and relevant regulatory expectations. We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Senior Manager Internal Third Parties (ITPs).

The topic of third party risk is a key area of focus for the Bank, and continues to be at the top of the regulatory agenda for financial services regulators.  As such, internal policies and regulatory guidance and expectations in this area are continuously evolving.

To achieve compliance with internal policy and regulatory expectations, HSBC has built technology platforms and risk assessment processes in the 1st line to undertake the assessment, due diligence, monitoring and assurance of Third Party Risk. TPM continues to go through significant transformation to ensure our framework (aligned to policy), technology and organisation structure (pan-bank) is fit for purpose for ensuring a robust risk management environment for 1LOD third party risk management. The role holder will play a significant part in this programme of change (along with their BAU responsibilities) to enable the design and execution of the changes, supporting various workstreams and multiple stakeholder groups across the matrix (1LOD and 2LOD).

Your responsibilities

  1. Evolving credible services for TPM to support the business and function challenges.
  2. Significant areas of change occurring in parallel across the bank.
  3. Having, and maintaining, a very strong understanding of third party risk topics in financial services in order to be able to evolve the service.
  4. Staying a step ahead of regulatory and 3LOD expectation around emerging third party risk topics.
  5. Staying ahead of 3LOD observations on third party risk processes and controls and governance oversight.
  6. Influencing 2LOD across HSBC to drive a consistency in policies and processes.
