• Proficiency in AWS – experience with data processing, storage, and orchestration services (such as AWS Lambda, Redshift, Glue, S3)
• Advanced SQL and Python skills – building pipelines, data transformation and quality checks, automation, and integration
• Working knowledge of Typescript and ability to create and maintain technical documentation
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and API integration

Our Client is a UK-based insurance company, is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer for a long-term assignment (minimum 12 months) within the investment research team. The main objective of the project is to automate investment analytics, empowering analysts to focus on high-value activities and improving investment decision quality.

• Salary: between 155-175 PLN/hour net + VAT (B2B)

Your responsibilities

1. Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes on AWS (e.g. Lambda, Glue, S3, Redshift) and Snowflake.
2. Develop, optimize and automate data processing and quality checks using advanced SQL and Python, including integration with internal and external APIs.
3. Implement and monitor data quality and data governance controls (e.g. iCEDQ, Collibra), ensuring secure handling and proper documentation of data assets.
4. Use CI/CD practices and automation tools (e.g. GitHub Actions) to reliably deploy and maintain data solutions in line with security and coding standards.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, providing clear communication, technical documentation (including in TypeScript where needed), realistic estimates and regular status updates.
