Requirements description

Essential requirements:

• Expert knowledge of PyTorch and deep learning principles
• Strong experience with transformer architectures and HuggingFace ecosystem
• Expertise in prompt engineering and model fine-tuning
• Experience with large language models training and optimization
• Advanced knowledge of Python and scientific computing libraries
• Very good command of English
• Formal requirements:
  • minimum 3 years of experience in AI/ML roles
  • master's degree in AI, Computer Science, or related field
  • the candidate already lives in Poland and can be formally employed here (UoP)

Nice to haves:

• Experience with multimodal models (text + image)
• Knowledge of efficient fine-tuning techniques (LoRA, QLoRA, etc.)
• Experience with medical or scientific text processing
• Familiarity with model optimization techniques (quantization, pruning)
• Experience with distributed training on multiple GPUs
• Knowledge of prompt engineering best practices
• Good command of Polish

Your responsibilities

1. Design and implement custom PyTorch models for scientific literature processing
2. Develop and optimize prompt engineering strategies
3. Fine-tune and adapt third-party models from HuggingFace and other sources
4. Implement multimodal capabilities for processing text and images
5. Create efficient training pipelines for model fine-tuning
6. Optimize model performance through various techniques (quantization, pruning)
