Required Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of proven experience in Applied AI, including hands-on work with modern Generative AI approaches.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience applying AI to real business challenges and deploying solutions into production.
• Solid hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including provisioning resources, model deployment, and optimization.
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for CI/CD and automation.
• Fluency in Dutch or French, plus professional English proficiency (nice to have).
• Strong presentation and communication skills.

About the Role

As a Senior AI Engineer, you will join the AI & Data team and work in a multidisciplinary environment to deliver impactful, production-ready AI solutions for clients. You will contribute across the full lifecycle of AI initiatives — from ideation and feasibility validation, through data preparation and model development, to deployment and operationalization.

Your work will blend hands-on engineering, architectural thinking, and strategic advisory, with strong exposure to MLOps and enterprise-grade AI delivery practices.

Your responsibilities

1. Lead and contribute to end-to-end development of advanced AI solutions — from initial concept to production deployment.
2. Apply strong MLOps practices to ensure solutions are reliable, scalable, and maintainable in real-world environments.
3. Stay up to date with cutting-edge AI (including Generative AI), evaluate emerging technologies, run PoCs, and design innovative AI approaches.
4. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (risk, operations, customer analytics, etc.) to shape and deliver AI-driven transformation initiatives.
5. Share knowledge and mentor junior team members, contributing to internal capability building.
6. Support the creation of thought leadership materials (e.g., whitepapers) and participate in industry events and conferences.
